Tour of Utah
The 5 day cycling event, the Tour of Utah, was held this week. Patty and I made it to 1 of the races. It was a time trial, so 1 rider leaves the starting gate every minute. the best part about going to a time trial race is that you can get close to some of your favorite professional riders. there were many famous racers but i really wanted to see tyler hamilton who rides for Rock Racing (for those of you that know designer jeans, the designer of Rock N Republic jeans owns and manages this team). tyler hamilton is most famous for winning gold in the 2004 olympics in, you guessed it, cycling. after his time trial was over i was able to ask him to sign one of my cycling jerseys. here's a few pics.
Rock Racing is sponsored by cadillac. they definately have the coolest team cars at any race.
this is olympic gold medalist, tyler hamilton

team garmin chipotle warming up
oscar sevilla of rock racing finishing strong at the miller motorsports park
my new favorite jersey signed by tyler hamilton

Bailey's 1st Birthday
remember, we don't have any kids. . . .
For Bailey's 1st birthday, my sister aubrey and her husband blake threw a birthday party for both her and her sister (mabel) at their apt. she baked a cake made especially for dogs (which included baby food and ground veal - yuck, but they loved it.) blake even tried a piece and commented that it was very. . .flavorful. they invited a cute little pug named buddha that lives next door. it was probably the best birthday any dog could hope for.
